Back Bloggin'

Well, my camera broke in August ....and I finally got a new one (which is freakin' fantastic...thanks to a tip from a good friend...) so I've been taking pictures and lovin' it. We go back to work tomorrow after having a week off due to Culture Week....Christmas is already lingering in the stores and in the back of my head...so much to do before Christmas :) As if. LOL.

So, back in September (I know, it still is September but not for long) before the students came back to school, we went on our yearly Staff Fishing Trip ....to the mouth of the Majetic River...was absolutely beautiful this year as always...(well, this is only my third always)

It was a bit sad this year as one of the guides who usually takes a group is no longer with us. He passed away last spring. We were all missing his presence but his son took his spot and we were happy to have him with us. So, here are some pics from that event to peruse...I'll post pictures and yap about Culture week later on this week.... (notice no specific day guarantee :) )

Again, it has been a long time since....

Yeah, a long time since I've posted and I have a million excuses that I could list but I know that all I would get from you is rolling eyes and a chorus of "I've heard that one before" so I'll refrain...

The summer went by incredibly fast -- too fast really. After the Grad trip to Jasper I went home to Toon Town for a couple of weeks and then I came back to Patuanak to live life at the lake. When you think about it, people spend thousands (or millions) to live at a lake and I live here for the mere sum of $100 month (plus bills of course:( ) Anyways, I killed the summer by tubing, fishing, quading, and eating berries, (notice I didn't actually pick berries, I just stole them from the hard working berry pickers....LOL) and then of course, before I knew it, summer was over and it was time to get back to work.

Oh yeah:) There was also a wedding this summer - I helped Karyn with some of the planning...wedding planner I am not:) But it was a great day:)

So now with school. I am teaching grades 10,11, 12 English in the morning and in the afternoons I am in the office as the vice principal (for K-12) It has been a steep learning curve and it is definitely testing my organizational skills, but new challenges are always good. So, I again am making the attempt to maintain this blog o' mine...keep checkin'
