Maybe a bit dramatic....

But I don't really feel like I've had much of a weekend. Our math/science teacher resigned last Thursday and is already gone, which leaves me teaching Math 20 (grade 11) during what should have been/used to be/ my prep period...some of you are probably having a good chuckle thinking of me teaching math -- I laughed for awhile myself...but such is life. So, I've been trying to do as much advanced prep for English 30, English 10, Communications and Drama as I can because I know that math is going to require more daily prep .... phew....I'll let you know how it goes...
But on a brighter note, the weather is nice and so Lisa and I took advantage of it yesterday. We went for a long, brisk walk on the "pave" -- we walked 5.9km in an hour -- felt awesome, planning on going again tonight...

Dude, Where's My Car ?!?!

And that is exactly the question I asked myself on Sunday night but with more purpose and confusion on Monday morning. Yes, it is April and we have received more snow than we had all winter in three short days. Hmmmm.....had to dig out the winter boots and quite literally (as you can see) dig out my truck. LOL...thank the Lord for friends with quads/scrapers...or I'd have muscles like Popeye from all the shoveling (although that may not be a bad thing) HUH...the sun is shining today and soon we will be amidst much mud and muck once again....not sure which is worse :)

Other than that, things are slowly moving along. We have only about 8 weeks of school left -- and a lot of things to accomplish in that time so keeping motivated is as important as it can be trying. Parent-Teacher interviews are tonight -- planning on spending the weekend with Romeo and my remote control :) Until the next time.....

Winter Games 2008

So, life has been a tad hectic...what else is new...LOL...some of you find it hard to believe that I am so busy even though I live at "the end of the world" (as the kids like to say) but I am...

I spent Easter Break in Regina at the 2008 FSIN Winter Games...Gloria and I coached the Junior Girls MLTC Broomball team and I was the chaperone for 3 of our girls...it was extremely fun while simultaneously tiring...as expected...there were 38 athletes from English River and approximately 2000 athletes/coaches/chaperones from the MLTC region and we all stayed at the Regina Inn...Prior to that week I didn't really know my way around Regina at all and now I'm not so sure I can say I know my way around, but I at least know where all of the arena are...LOL

Our athletes (MLTC) brought home numerous medals and they all seemed to thouroghly enjoy themselves... I still say that the true fun of teaching and the real bonding with our students comes from these extra curricular activities -- it was a blast...so, some pictures to prove it :)

Junior Boys' Hockey - Scored the Gold Goal
