Baby Beaver

One of the guys from town went beaver hunting and realized that he had killed a mama beaver; so, being of great integrity, he rescued her cubs and is looking after them. There were 6 cubs and a few of them have already been adopted out to loving families. They are so adorable. Nobody's sure how long they will survive for but they are pretty active right now. Also, the kids around town have been visiting and checking them out (me included) and it is a neat learning experience for them. Check it out....

I Take it Back...

SO, my date didn't happen (hmmm...isn't that interesting...connection to real life?!? LOL) But I will most definitely have to dedicate some time over the next few nights to Romeo and his Juliet for the sake of my lovely, crazy, goofy, insane grade 10's. LOL...if you knew them, you would understand why the previous adjectives are quite suitable. But, the weekend was alright - no work for work got done, but I did manage to clean the house, truck, and start cleaning up the "yard" otherwise known as my ditch and my driveway -- spring is officially here although we still have remnants of winter in the bush -- lots of snow and ice is still on the lake -- now I'm itching to go for boat rides :) YEAH :) Looks like I'll be taking a class at the UofS for the majority of the month of July -- still not sure how I feel about that but it doesn't look like there is any other alternative...we'll see -- but, have to go pick up the mail and get ready for an ERFN staff BBQ tonight -- then a walk, and then sweet dreams :) Later ....

Well, Have I Got Plans This Weekend, A Date Really...

LOL...nope, not a real date (huh, that would have to be a blog entry on its own :) ) But rather yet another date with school work (insert sympathy or yawn or a combination of the two here) Romeo and Juliet and myself are going to have a threesome of sorts while I turn it into a complete unit for grade ten english. Should be fun (note intended sarcasm) But with some honesty, it shouldn't be too bad -- the goal is to make it fun for the kids -- even have a graphic novel for one of the Acts...woo hoo:)
Surprisingly, teaching math 20 has been going well -- we had our first quiz today and the students are showing that they understand -- good thing -- we're really pushing our limits with this one :)
The weather is beautiful and the kids are starting to get spring fever -- but who can blame them? I'd rather be outside too (especially now b/c the bugs aren't really out yet)
With that, have a great weekend...later :)
